The Kawai CS3 digital comes together with the sophistication of a classic ebony polish cabinet and excellent touch and tone. The CS3 uses the new Responsive Hammer (RH) action with Ivory Touch key surfaces and Let-off. It’s an 88-note, graded hammer action with excellent feel and sensitivity. The Responsive Hammer Action employs an innovative

system of “hammer grading” in which the weights of the hammers mirror the heavier bass hammers and lighter treble hammers of an acoustic piano. Delicately textured ivory-like surfaces are applied to the keys to soak up moisture, boost control and give the tactile feel of acoustic piano keys. The RM3 Grand Action provides an even more significant playing practice through the use of extra-long wooden keys and a mechanical design that closely resembles the real motion of a grand piano action. Similar to an acoustic piano, extra counterweights are placed at the front of the bass keys to give the natural balance of an acoustic piano action.
The CS3 features the newest version of kawai’s highly praised sound technology – Progressive Harmonic Imaging with 88-key piano sampling. This elite technology creates sounds with remarkable detail and clarity. The CS3 comes with built-in lesson songs from Alfred Publishing’s top piano method books and also features lesson songs from Alfred Publishing’s most popular first-year children’s method book.
